Everything went according to plan when second ranked Obradoiro S. (5-1) won against on the road 12th ranked Betanzos (1-5) 93-83 on Sunday. Obradoiro S. forced 20 Betanzos turnovers. Betanzos was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Brais Losada (203-97, agency: Promo Sport ID) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Icelandic forward Sigvaldi Eggertsson (197-0) chipped in 20 points. Four Obradoiro S. players scored in double figures. Obradoiro S.'s coach Denis Pombar used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-89) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and center Marcos Rozas (202-83) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Obradoiro S. have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Obradoiro S. maintains second position in Group A-B with 5-1 record having just three points less than leader Tarragona, which they share with PBB. Betanzos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with five games lost. Obradoiro S. will face La Antigua (#7) in Salamanca in the next round where they are favorite.
