Very predictable result in Shanghai where sixth ranked Sharks (3-1) defeated bottom-ranked Gold Lions (0-4) 94-86 on Sunday. Sharks made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Gold Lions were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and American guard James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who added 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest (made all of his eight free throws). At the losing side Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (210-92, agency: Alti Sport) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Chasson Randle (188-93, college: Stanford) scored 22 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Gold Lions still closes the standings with four games lost. Sharks will face Brave Dragons (#9) in Taiyuan in the next round where they are favorite.
