Regular Season Round 8: Leon - PBB 48-69

No shocking result in a game when third ranked PBB (5-1) smashed on the road 9th ranked Leon (2-4) 69-48 on Sunday. Strangely Leon outrebounded PBB 46-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) who scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Iker Besada (-95) chipped in 13 points and 4 steals. Four PBB players scored in double figures. Swedish forward Musa Jeng (202-99) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Alan Morchon (185-99) added 4 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PBB have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with Obradoiro S. Loser Leon dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. PBB will face bottom-ranked Univ.Valladolid (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leon will play against Xiria and hope to win that game.
