The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Tezenis VER (5-2) in Verona on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked UCC Piacenza (4-3) 70-65. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: GWU, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four UCC Piacenza players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Love (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) answered with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Guido Rosselli (198-83) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Tezenis VER. UCC Piacenza moved-up to seventh place in A2. Tezenis VER at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. UCC Piacenza are looking forward to face league's second-placed Kleb Ferrara at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tezenis VER will play against A.Costa IM in Imola and is hoping to win this game.
