Regular Season Round 8: Roser - Tarragona 62-77

Very predictable result when top-ranked Tarragona (7-0) beat on the road 11th ranked Roser (2-6) 77-62 on Sunday. Tarragona dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Roser's 22. The best player for the winners was center Ferran Torres (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Jaume Zanca (195-97) chipped in 13 points. Naturalized Andorra forward Alberto Farfan (193-91) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Alex Olive (192-96) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarragona have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C-B with 7-0 record. Newly promoted Roser dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. Tarragona will face Valls Nutrion (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Roser will play against Palma II (#11) in S'Arenal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
