Regular Season Round 8: Cremona - Fortitudo BO 80-73

An interesting game took place in Cremona where higher ranked Fortitudo BO (4-4) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Vanoli Cremona (3-4) 80-73 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Milwaukee) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Jordan Mathews (191-94, college: Gonzaga, agency: Wasserman) who added 15 points during the contest. Vanoli Cremona's coach Romeo Sacchetti used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American center Henry Sims (208-90, college: Georgetown) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Cantu and Varese. Newly promoted Fortitudo BO dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Vanoli Cremona will face higher ranked Trento (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
