Regular Season Round 7: Fortitudo AGR - Latina Basket 91-71

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Fortitudo AGR (4-2) crushed 5th ranked Latina Basket (4-3) in Agrigento 91-71 on Sunday. Fortitudo AGR forced 23 Latina Basket turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Fortitudo AGR looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for American guard Christian James (193-96, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Guard Lorenzo Ambrosin (190-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and naturalized Argentinian guard Bernardo Musso (193-86, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Latina Basket. Fortitudo AGR moved-up to fifth place in A2. Loser Latina Basket dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Fortitudo AGR will face league's second-placed Basket TO in Torino in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Latina Basket will play at home against Blu Basket TVG (#4) and hope to win that game.
