There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Palermo GB (4-3) edged at home higher ranked Alba (5-3) 86-84 on Sunday. Strangely Alba outrebounded Palermo GB 45-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di-Marco (179-84, agency: Players Group) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. Naturalized Brazilian forward Bruno Duranti (197-93) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Palermo GB's coach Giovanni Bassi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and center Emanuele Tarditi (204-93, agency: Agency) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Palermo GB moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Alba keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Palermo GB will face Piombino (#8) at home in the next round. Alba will play against Alessandria FB (#11) and hope to win that game.
