Very significant was Timberwolves' (#3, 6-4) victory against 4th placed Pistons (4-7) 120-114. Timberwolves players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) contributed with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Luke Kennard (196-96, college: Duke) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and forward Blake Griffin (208-89, college: Oklahoma) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Pistons. Four Timberwolves and five Pistons players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Timberwolves (6-4) moved-up to second place, which they share with Dallas M. and Indiana P. Pistons at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Timberwolves will have a break next day. Pistons will play at home against the league's leader Heat (#1) and hope to win that game.
