Regular Season Round 3: Zob Ahan - Toufarghan 74-77

A very close game took place in Esfahan between Toufarghan and Zob Ahan. Toufarghan (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Zob Ahan (1-2). Toufarghan managed to escape with a 3-point win 77-74 on Monday evening. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Kelvin Amayo (193-92, college: Loyola Mary) who scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish center Gracin Bakumanya (211-97) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Toufarghan players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Iman Zandi (188-81) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Sajjad Pazrofteh (188-96) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Zob Ahan's coach Mehran Hatami tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Toufarghan will meet at home Chemidor (#5) in the next round. Zob Ahan will play against Petrochimi in Bandar Imam and hope to win that game.
