Very predictable result when sixth ranked Armani Milano (5-3) smashed at home 16th ranked Pistoia (1-7) 83-63 on Monday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Shelvin Mack (190-90, college: Butler) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) who added 19 points during the contest. Armani Milano's coach Ettore Messina used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Aristide Landi (203-94) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Pistoia players scored in double figures. Armani Milano have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Brescia. Loser Pistoia keeps the sixteenth position with seven games lost. Armani Milano will face Fortitudo BO (#9) in Bologna in the next round where they are favorite.
