Very important is a road loss of third ranked Spurs (5-5) against fourth ranked Grizzlies (3-7) on Monday night. Visiting Spurs were defeated by Grizzlies in a tough game in Memphis 109-113. Grizzlies looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Jaren Jackson-Jr (211-99, college: Michigan St.) who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas (213-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Rudy Gay (203-86, college: Connecticut) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) added 19 points respectively. Four Grizzlies and five Spurs players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Grizzlies maintains fourth place with 3-7 record, which they share with Chicago B. and Orlando M. Loser Spurs keep the third position with five games lost.
