There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked La Rochelle (3-7) won against at home higher ranked Dax-Gamarde (5-5) 86-78 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Dax-Gamarde 38-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. La Rochelle looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Dax-Gamarde's players. It was a very good performance for American power forward Ron Anderson (202-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Pierre Cellerier (191-97) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Auston Calhoun (201-90, college: Bowling Green) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Xane dAlmeida (181-83) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Dax-Gamarde. Five La Rochelle and four Dax-Gamarde players scored in double figures. La Rochelle maintains twelfth position in Group A with 3-7 record. Newly promoted Dax-Gamarde keeps the seventh place with five games lost. La Rochelle will face higher ranked Toulouse (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
