Rather predictable result in Qingdao where twelfth ranked Eagles (3-2) defeated 15th ranked Long-Lions (1-4) 115-100 on Tuesday. Eagles made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Long-Lions were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Wasserman) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) chipped in 17 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Eagles and four Long-Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Shandong GS and Shanghai S. Long-Lions lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with four games lost. Eagles will face Sturgeons (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Long-Lions will play on the road against Blue Whales in Sichuan and hope to win that game.
