Bottom-ranked Shahrdari BA (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 58-57 loss to tenth ranked Mashad (2-2) in Abbass. They also forced 22 Shahrdari BA turnovers. The winners were led by the former international guard Emad Salmani (188-90) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 steals and the former international power forward Saleh Foroutannik (207-94) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even 19 points and 5 steals by American-Guyanese forward Kedar Edwards (196-93, college: UT Martin) did not help to save the game for Shahrdari BA. Samad Soroodi added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Mashad moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Exxon SC and Toufarghan. Newly promoted Shahrdari BA still closes the standings with four games lost.
