Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Panteras (13-8) won against 7th ranked Libertadores (8-14) in Queretaro 94-80 on Thursday. Quite impressive performance for American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. American-Puerto Rican forward Derek Reese (201-93, college: Tennessee) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Dominican forward Justin Satchell (203, college: St.Leo) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American swingman PJ Reyes (196-88, college: Charleston) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Libertadores. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Panteras have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 13-8 record. Loser Libertadores keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Panteras will face Santos (#8) in San Luis Potosi in the next round. Libertadores will play against the league's leader Mineros and hope to win that game.
