The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Rockets' (9-3) road victory over their biggest opponent Pacers (7-5) in Indianapolis 111-102 on Friday. Rockets made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Pacers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) who helped to win the game recording 44 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Russell Westbrook (190-88, college: UCLA) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Doug McDermott (203-92, college: Creighton) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pacers. Four Rockets and five Pacers players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rockets have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-3 record. Loser Pacers keep the second position with five games lost. Rockets will face Timberwolves (#3) in Minnesota in the next day, which may be the game of the day. Pacers will play on the road against the league's leader Bucks in Milwaukee and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
