Regular Season Round 6: Saint-Quentin - Nancy 77-92

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Sluc Nancy and 10th ranked Saint-Quentin had identical 2-3 record. But Saint-Quentin was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Nancy 92-77 on Friday night. Saint-Quentin was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 20 points. Center Bastien Vautier (210-98) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American guard BA Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively. Saint-Quentin's coach Thomas Giorguitti rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sluc Nancy (3-3) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Saint-Quentin dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Sluc Nancy will face higher ranked Quimper UJAP (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint-Quentin will play against Paris (#17) and hope to win that game.
