There was no surprise when 17th ranked Marin (1-8) lost at home to third ranked Palma (7-2) 90-77. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Palma outrebounded Marin 40-28 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swedish Johan Lofberg (199-95) stepped up and scored 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was forward Jacobo Diaz (206-96, college: Indiana, PA) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Romone Saunders (190-95, college: Wagner) scored 13 points and 4 assists.
