Regular Season Round 10: Levice - Prievidza 86-66

The most important game in the last round took place in Levice between third ranked Prievidza (5-3) and sixth ranked Levice (5-4) on Saturday night. Prievidza was crushed by Levice on the road 86-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prievidza. American guard Marty Hill (196, college: Evansville) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Viktor Juricek (211-93, college: Texas A&M-CC) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Levice's coach Michal Madzin used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Bosnian power forward Ibrahim Durmo (200-97) scored 15 points. Five Prievidza players scored in double figures. Levice moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lucenec. Prievidza at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Levice is looking forward to face league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Prievidza will play against Lucenec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
