There was an upset when higher ranked L'Hospitalet (5-5) was edged at home by tenth ranked La Roda (3-7) 73-71 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American-Nigerian forward Anthony Elechi (203-93, college: Morehead St.) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Javier Hernandez (201-93, agency: Promo Sport ID) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Elechi is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American guard Grant Lozoya (190-95, college: Pittsburg St., agency: Duran International) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Joan Creus (185-92) added 12 points in the effort for L'Hospitalet. L'Hospitalet's coach Jose Manuel Hoya tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. La Roda maintains tenth position in Silver with 3-7 record. Loser L'Hospitalet keeps the fifth place with five games lost. La Roda will face Pardinyes-L. (#11) in Lleida in the next round.
