Regular Season Round 18: Bambitious N. - Fukushima 100-82

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fukushima (7-9) against fifth ranked Bambitious N. (5-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Bambitious N. in Nara 100-82. Bambitious N. dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 40. They outrebounded Fukushima 46-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Bambitious N. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 23 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). The other American import power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners. Bambitious N.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) replied with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Shuhei Muto (192-91) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Fukushima. Bambitious N. maintains fifth position with 5-13 record, which they share with Tokyo Z. Fukushima at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Bambitious N. will again play against higher ranked Fukushima (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fukushima will have a break next round.
