Regular Season Round 9: Quart - SESE 69-71

Important game to mention about took place in Quart. Fifth ranked SESE (6-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Quart (7-2) 71-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Quart. It was a good game for Joaquim Galve (-93) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. Forward Gonzalo Vazquez (-92) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jordi Bataller (193-86) answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Alberto Coderch-Porras (192-94, college: Webber Intern.) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Quart. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for SESE. They moved-up to fourth place in Group C-A, which they share with Martinenc. Loser Quart keeps the third position with two games lost. SESE will face Almozara (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Quart will play against Martorell (#8) and hope to win that game.
