Regular Season Round 6: BC Titebi - Batumi 67-87

Very important is a home loss of second ranked BC Titebi (3-2) against fourth ranked Batumi (4-2) on Saturday night. Host BC Titebi was crushed by Batumi in Tbilisi 87-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Batumi outrebounded BC Titebi 48-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Nikola Vujovic (210-93) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Collin Malcolm (201-97, college: Warner Pacific) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Malcolm is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Batumi players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Besik Lezhava (192-86) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Batumi have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with TSU. Loser BC Titebi dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Batumi will meet Rustavi (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
