Regular Season Round 8: Latina Basket - Blu Basket TVG 80-57

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Latina Basket (5-3) smashed at home 4th ranked Blu Basket TVG (4-3) 80-57 on Saturday. Latina Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Blu Basket TVG's 26. Latina Basket forced 20 Blu Basket TVG turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) who added 21 points during the contest. Naturalized Beninese forward Ursulo DAlmeida (200-1) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Blu Basket TVG players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Latina Basket moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Blu Basket TVG dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Latina Basket will face Eurobasket RO (#14) in Roma in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blu Basket TVG will play at home against the league's second-placed Edilnol Bl (#2) and hope to win that game.
