Regular Season Round 9: Orleans - Le Portel 110-62

Date: November 16, 2019
Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (3-6) rolled over at home bottom-ranked Le Portel (2-8) 110-62 on Saturday. Entente Orleans 45 shot 62.9 percent from the field. Entente Orleans 45 outrebounded Le Portel 35-24 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Entente Orleans 45 looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. American Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. Point guard Benoit Mangin (188-88) answered with 12 points and 6 assists and American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (202-88, college: Georgia St.) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Le Portel. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Limoges and Le Mans. Loser Le Portel dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face Limoges CSP Elite (#13) on the road in the next round. Le Portel will play against Boulazac Basket (#9) and hope to win that game.
