Regular Season Round 11: Tours - Vanves 84-55

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Vanves (1-9) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Tours (6-4) 84-55 on Saturday. Tours looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Guinean swingman Ahmed Doumbia (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Alexis Dargenton (204-94, college: Utah St.) helped adding 22 points. Tours' coach Pierre Tavano felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Center Miguel Buval (207-90) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Anis Gabsi (198-93) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Tours moved-up to fifth place in Group A. Vanves lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Tours will face Lourdes-Tarbes (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vanves will play against Caen and hope to win that game.
