Regular Season Round 9: Strasbourg - Chalon 95-75

Very expected game when 15th ranked Chalon/Saor (2-7) was smashed on the road by eleventh ranked SIG Strasbourg (4-5) 95-75 on Saturday. SIG Strasbourg shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Chalon/Saor's players. Chalon/Saor was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Damien Inglis (204-95, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. British-Canadian Thomas Scrubb (198-91, college: Carleton) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four SIG Strasbourg players scored in double figures. American swingman Jaron Johnson (196-92, college: Louisiana Tech) answered with 16 points and the other American import point guard Justin Robinson (173-95, college: Monmouth) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Chalon/Saor. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for SIG Strasbourg. They moved-up to tenth place. Chalon/Saor lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. SIG Strasbourg will face Le Mans (#11) on the road in the next round. Chalon/Saor will play against the league's second-placed Levallois (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
