Regular Season Round 26: Brooklyn N. - Chicago B. 117-111
Date: November 16, 2019
An interesting game for Nets (5-7) which hosted in Brooklyn their close opponent Bulls (4-9). Fourth ranked Nets managed to get a 6-point victory 117-111. Nets made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Bulls turnovers. Strangely Bulls outrebounded Nets 56-40 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Bulls' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Nets made 9 blocks. Bulls were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Joe Harris (198-91, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 assists. Guard Spencer Dinwiddie (198-93, college: Colorado) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists for the winners. Nets' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Zach LaVine (196-95, college: UCLA) replied with 36 points (!!!) and forward Wendell Carter-Jr (208-99, college: Duke) added 18 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Bulls. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nets moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Bulls keep the fourth position with nine games lost.
