Regular Season Round 9: Stal SW - MKS Ochota 70-85

Not a big story in a game in Stalowa Wola where bottom-ranked Stal SW (0-8) was defeated by eleventh ranked MKS Ochota (2-6) 85-70 on Saturday. MKS Ochota dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Stal SW's 24. Krzysztof Grudzien (196-92) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and guard Mateusz Gorka (190-99) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four MKS Ochota players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Karol Kindlik (176-0) with 22 points and Kacper Bejnar (200-97) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS Ochota moved-up to tenth place in Group B. Stal SW lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. MKS Ochota will face league's second-placed AZS Start II in Lublin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stal SW will play on the road against Dziki Wwa (#3) in Warszawa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
