Not a big story in a game in Katowice where 10th ranked Rybnik (2-7) was rolled over by fourth ranked AZS AWF Mick. (6-2) 86-50 on Saturday. AZS AWF Mick. outrebounded Rybnik 54-28 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Karol Leszczynski (190-87) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) with 6 points and 8 rebounds and forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS AWF Mick. maintains fourth place in Group C with 6-2 record. Rybnik lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. AZS AWF Mick. will face Jaroslaw (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
