Regular Season Round 9: Alessandria FB - Alba 82-89

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Alessandria FB (2-6) lost at home to fourth ranked Alba (6-3) 89-82 on Saturday. Alba forced 19 Alessandria FB turnovers. Alessandria FB was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Luca Antonietti (198-94) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Alberto Serafini (196-93) answered with 28 points and 9 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Dario Gay (175-96) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Alessandria FB. Alessandria FB's coach Claudio Vandoni rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alba maintains fourth place in B with 6-3 record, which they share with Lecco. Newly promoted Alessandria FB keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Alba will face Montecatiniterme (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Alessandria FB will play against Valsesia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
