Regular Season Round 9: Castelldefels - Olivar 110-76

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Olivar (1-8) was outleveled on the road by ninth ranked Castelldefels (5-4) 110-76 on Sunday. Castelldefels made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for forward Eric Manes (194-87) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Francesc Pascal (188-85) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Alvaro Martinez (200-3) answered with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Daniel Arjol (-3) added 16 points and 5 steals in the effort for Olivar. Olivar's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Castelldefels. They moved-up to fifth place in Group C-B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Olivar keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Castelldefels will face Salou (#6) on the road in the next round. Olivar will play against the league's leader Tarragona (#1) and hope to win that game.
