Regular Season Round 19: Bambitious N. - Fukushima 92-84

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fukushima (7-10) against fifth ranked Bambitious N. (6-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Fukushima was defeated by Bambitious N. in a tough game in Nara 84-92. Bambitious N. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bambitious N. had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. Bambitious N.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Dai Suzuki (183-90) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for Fukushima in the defeat. Bambitious N. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-13 record, which they share with Tokyo Z. Fukushima lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with ten games lost. Bambitious N. will meet at home league's leader Gunma in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fukushima will have a break next round.
