The game in Shizuoka was also quite interesting. Second ranked Toyoda Gosei (12-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Shizuoka (8-6). Toyoda Gosei did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 78-61 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shizuoka. Toyoda Gosei dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Shizuoka's 22. It was a great shooting night for Toyoda Gosei especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American forward JD Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The other American import Luke Evans (203-91, college: CBU) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Toyoda Gosei players scored in double figures. American forward Roschon Prince (198-94, college: Detroit Mercy) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Ayumu Osawa (177-91) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyoda Gosei keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Newly promoted Shizuoka dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Toyoda Gosei will meet at home Tokyo CR (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shizuoka will play against the league's leader Iwate Big Bulls (#1) and hope to secure a win.
