Regular Season Round 7: Pyrinto Ak.B - Huima 66-91

Everything went according to plan in Tampere where fourth ranked Huima (5-2) outleveled bottom-ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (0-7) 91-66 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-66. Huima dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto Ak.B's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Pyrinto Ak.B was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Trenton Clayton (206-96, college: Pittsburg St.) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kalle Koivunen (187-2) chipped in 27 points. Four Huima players scored in double figures. Point guard Jasper Koskinen (183-1) produced 16 points and guard Eetu Laitinen (187-99) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huima maintains fourth place in Division with 5-2 record. Newly promoted Pyrinto Ak.B still closes the standings with seven games lost. Huima will face Namika Lr (#9) in Lappeenranta in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pyrinto Ak.B will play on the road against Westside ET in Espoo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
