Regular Season Round 9: Tartu Ulikool - Rapla 80-70

We should mention about the upset which took place in Tartu, where higher ranked Rapla (5-4) lost to twelfth ranked Tartu Ulikool (3-5) in a road game 70-80 on Sunday. Tartu Ulikool looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international Kregor Hermet (204-97) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was British center Chris Tawiah (208-93, college: Wiley) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) added 20 points respectively. Tartu Ulikool moved-up to tenth place. Rapla lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. Tartu Ulikool will face higher ranked TalTech (#7) in Tallinn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rapla will play at home against Ventspils and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
