An exciting game was played in San Antonio. Second ranked Mavericks faced 4th ranked Spurs. Guests from Dallas (8-5) defeated host Spurs (5-9) 117-110. Mavericks looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 12 assists and forward Dorian Finney-Smith (203-93, college: Florida) who added 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Mavericks players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) responded with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mavericks maintains second position with 8-5 record having just three points less than leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76. Spurs lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Portland TB.
