Regular Season Round 19: Hiroshima D. - Yamagata 105-88

Very predictable result when first ranked Dragonflies (17-2) won against 6th ranked Yamagata (4-15) in Hiroshima 105-88 on Monday. Dragonflies looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Torian Graham (196-93, college: ASU) answered with a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) added 20 points in the effort for Yamagata. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragonflies have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Loser Yamagata keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. Dragonflies will face FE Nagoya (#4) on the road in the next round. Yamagata will play against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
