Regular Season Round 4: Raanana - Hod Hasharon 84-93

Hasharon has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Raanana, where they defeated Maccabi Raanana (1-3) 93-84. Hasharon players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Jimmy Hall (203-94, college: Kent St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Maurice Creek (196-90, college: GWU) supported him with 22 points. Even 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Yahel Melamed (192-1) did not help to save the game for Maccabi Raanana. American guard Larry Anderson (195-89, college: LBSU) added 17 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hasharon left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Raanana and H.Haifa. It was Maccabi Raanana's third loss in a row. Hasharon will play against H.Haifa (#12) at home in the next round. Maccabi Raanana will play against Kiryat Motzkin to get more than just one victory in their record.
