LNBP top team - Mineros (17-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Plateados (7-16) 89-78. Mineros shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Dominican Victor Liz (193-86) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: BeoBasket) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Filiberto Rivera (189-82, college: UTEP) added 11 points and 8 assists respectively for Plateados in the defeat. Four Plateados players scored in double figures. Mineros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-6 record, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Plateados lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Santos. Mineros will play against Libertadores (#7) in Queretaro in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Plateados will play against Lenadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
