Regular Season Round 11: Prievidza - Lucenec 74-84

The game between third ranked Prievidza (5-4) and fourth ranked Lucenec (6-4) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Prievidza was defeated by Lucenec in Prievidza 84-74. Lucenec forced 21 Prievidza turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Mike Caffey (183-93, college: LBSU) who scored 20 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import guard Jason Dunne (193, college: Hartford) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Lucenec players scored in double figures. Bosnian power forward Ibrahim Durmo (200-97) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Andrew Guillory (190-92, college: SE Louisiana) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lucenec moved-up to third place. Prievidza at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Levice. Lucenec are looking forward to face league's leader Inter Bratislava at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prievidza will play against Rieker KN in Komarno and is hoping to win this game.
