Regular Season Round 9: Derthona TRT - 2B Control TR 76-75

A very interesting game took place in Tortona. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked 2B Control TR (5-6) to ninth ranked Derthona TRT (6-5) 76-75 on Wednesday evening. Derthona TRT shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a good game for Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Kenny Gaines (190-94, college: Georgia) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five Derthona TRT players scored in double figures. American forward Kenny Goins (201-96, college: Michigan St.) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for 2B Control TR. Derthona TRT moved-up to seventh place in A2. 2B Control TR at the other side dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Derthona TRT's next round opponent will be SS Napoli (#9) on the road. 2B Control TR will play against Latina Basket and hope to win that game.
