Everything went according to plan in Aguascalientes where fourth ranked Panteras (14-8) outscored 8th ranked Santos (7-16) 87-65. American-Dominican forward Jose Rodriguez (201-92, college: Texas Southern) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) contributed with 20 points and 4 steals for the winners. Dominican guard Miguel Dicent (190-94, college: Morehead St.) answered with 19 points and 6 assists and American center BJ West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Santos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Panteras have an impressive series of five victories in a row.
