The game in Guanajuato was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Astros (12-12) played at the court of sixth ranked Abejas (12-9). Abejas managed to secure a 5-point victory 94-89 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Astros. Abejas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Astros' players. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV, agency: Paris Global Sports) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Power forward Juan-Manuel Esteva (196-83) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. American-Puerto Rican Devon Collier (203-91, college: Oregon St.) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Abejas moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Astros dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
