Regular Season Round 9: Bullets - 36ers 106-104

The most exciting game of round 9 in the NBL took place in Brisbane. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-6) to fifth ranked Bullets (5-6) 106-104 in the game for the fifth place. Bullets looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Adelaide 36ers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward EJ Singler (198-90, college: Oregon) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) who recorded 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Ukrainian-American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) added 25 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bullets maintains fifth place with 5-6 record, which they share with 36ers. Bullets is looking forward to face higher ranked Melbourne Phoenix (#4) in Melbourne, Victoria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adelaide 36ers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Perth Wildcats and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
