Regular Season Round 8: Liaoning FL - Beijing Ducks 109-91

The most important game in the last round took place in Yingkou between second ranked Beijing Ducks (6-2) and ninth ranked Flying Leopards (5-3) on Friday night. Beijing Ducks were defeated by Flying Leopards on the road 109-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. Flying Leopards made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Flying Leopards had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) who added 21 points and 5 assists during the contest. Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin (190-88, college: Harvard) responded with 29 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Xiaochuan Di produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Leopards moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Beijing Ducks at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Guangsha L.. Flying Leopards is looking forward to face Royal Fighters (#9) in Beijing in the next round. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#6) in Changchun and are hoping to win this game.
