Regular Season Round 32: LA Lakers - OKC Thunder 130-127

Fourth-ranked Thunder (6-9) gave a tough game to first ranked Lakers (13-2) in Los Angeles on Friday. Lakers managed to secure only three-point victory 130-127. However their fans expected easier game. Lakers made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. Lakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). LeBron James (203-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. Lakers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and New Zealand power forward Steven Adams (213-93, college: Pittsburgh) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lakers have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. Loser Thunder keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Lakers will meet at home Grizzlies (#3) in the next day, which may be the game of the day. Thunder will have a break next day.
