Regular Season Round 13: Defensor - Trouville 82-86

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Trouville (#3) and Defensor (#7). Defensor was defeated at home 82-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Defensor. American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and his fellow American import forward Francois Lewis (206-97, college: Presbyterian) chipped in 15 points. At the losing side American-Puerto Rican guard Isaac Sosa-Carrion (191-90, college: Canisius) responded with 25 points and American power forward Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St., agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Trouville (7-3) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Aguada and Olimpia. Defensor at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Hebraica. Trouville's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena .
