Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zadar: KK Zadar (#3) and Borik Puntamika (#8). Borik Puntamika was crushed at home by 19 points 61-80 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. KK Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Borik Puntamika's 28. KK Zadar forced 22 Borik Puntamika turnovers. American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: GMU) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists for the winners and international point guard Martin Junakovic (186-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 17 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. KK Zadar (8-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. KK Zadar (8-1) moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Borik Puntamika dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Alkar and Zabok. KK Zadar will meet at home Gorica (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Borik Puntamika will play against Dubrava (#10) in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
